Students & Parents

Your resources for completing a FAFSA!

Current and future college students of all ages can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the first step towards securing financial resources available for post-secondary education. By completing the FAFSA, your eligibility for federal and state grants, work-study opportunities, and low-interest loans will be determined by the financial aid offices at the schools/institutions where you’ve applied and have been accepted.

We hope the resources we compile can be helpful to you. Resources for the 2025-2026 FAFSA will be posted throughout this fall.

FAFSA TOOLS

Setting Up Your FSA Username & Password(FSA ID) - Setting up your FSA account is required for online access to the FAFSA. Each student, spouse or parent contributor must have an FSA ID prior to starting the FAFSA.

Financial Aid Estimator - This tool will help students and families estimate any federal aid they may be eligible for during the 2025-2026 academic year. Students must provide some basic financial information to help calculate the estimated Student Aid Index(SAI) and potential federal assistance. This is not the actual FAFSA. You will need to go to www.fafsa.gov to file the form. The form is slated to open in December 2024.

Which Parent(s) Is A Contributor on the FAFSA? - For dependent students, this online tool will help determine which parent(s) information to report on the FAFSA.

FAFSA Prototype - This website will give you a chance to use an example database to understand the look and feel of the 2025-2026 FAFSA. PLEASE NOTE: This is not the actual FAFSA database and using this tool is not submitting an actual FAFSA for 2025-2026.
